Introduction to our Employee Assistance Program
Relationship conflicts, the pressure of seemingly mounting workloads and the challenge to achieve
anything resembling work / life balance, together with health issues like obesity, depression and
hypertension all accumulate to impair our productivity and sense of well-being.
In order to address these issues in a corporate environment, we first need to understand the
prevalence of the risk patterns among our employees. In addition, there needs to be acceptance /
recognition by management that employee well-being is influenced by a diverse range of factors. For
example; a company that’s gone through a recent downsizing is undoubtedly to have anxious employees.
At Navigator we have an initial Request for Proposal form for you to complete. This will help us to
recommend an EAP and Wellness provider, either from the local market, or possibly from some cooperative
venture between an International provider and a local network of providers.
Once you have already made a decision as to what solution best fits your organization's needs, a
common next step will be to have all employees complete a Health Risk Assessmentform (HRA).
Results from this exercise will then open the door to engage employees through targeted initiatives
like diabetes management, and smoking cessation. This is all going to provide culturally relevant support
